@lgroots8691 it is still institutionalized. Wake up. You don’t know what gerrymandering is? Gentrification? Never paying reparations? Over policing? GTFO you’re just selectively ignoring

@lgroots8691 they’re useful tools for the capitalist state, and have chosen the paradigm of the established order rather than awakening their solidarity with their fellow workers. There is no class consciousness if you believe the social issues that effect many workers are problematic or harmful for gaining political capital. It’s being an ally to the issues that your fellow workers struggle against, and realizing that bigotries and discriminatory policies and practices are there to prevent unity and are the real obstacles to class solidarity. That was the whole program of the IWW, educating white workers that the racist policies and social institutions were just tools of the enemy and they must stand for Civil Rights and United with their multiracial class and communities, and social justice. Anyone who would water down and lessened the need to stand with Trans people against the Draconian polices being implemented by Red States isn’t an ally or showing class solidarity, they’re lapdogs for capital’s interests in fomenting division and white cis supremacy.

@lgroots8691 talking about those issues means you stand with the plights of the working class. Imagine of the IWW told workers to forget about segregation and civil rights they should just focus on better pay. That’s not class solidarity, that’s why their program was staunchly anti-racist, anti-segregation, and pro-multicultural. The socialist movement that motivated labor also were avant-garde in gay rights and feminist activism.

@vicfontaine5130 you mean white social conservative workers from Canada support conservatives?! They don’t have class solidarity if they’re class reductionist and think little of the issues that effect the majority of working class. Those social issues are there to divide the working class by fomenting bigoted attitudes against segments of the laboring class. Class solidarity is when you see it for what it is, agenda pushed by the capitalist state to keep workers in conflict. Class solidarity is when workers stand alongside the struggles of their fellow workers, not when their social conservatism outweighs standing with fellow workers.

@lgroots8691 cause no leftist has an audience predominantly conservative and anti-socialist?

@lgroots8691 the right has no policies it’s just keep things the same or go back. Let’s talk about the abolition of state and capitalism but conservatives sure do love them governments and states

@lgroots8691 “The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and racism. The problems of racial injustice and economic injustice cannot be solved without a radical redistribution of political and economic power”. —King to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) board on March 30, 1967. I doubt any Dore fan, conservative, or you support what is necessary to actually fight for the working class

@lgroots8691 everyone here was criticizing Dr. West when he ran for the third scam party. When he claimed DeSantis was “moving in the spirit of a revolutionary” in education. And many others. Unlike the right wing we have many criticisms because our politics isn’t “the status quo and establishment os good let’s keep it !” Or today’s regression of “let’s go back in time!”

It’s just a grift with this guy and he’s captured by his audience. First off class solidarity means divesting oneself of bigotries and racisms they were socialized into believing as obstacles against class consciousness. It’s not the abandonment of civil rights and social justice, it’s not forgetting about Trans rights and minority plights. It’s about the working class realizing those identities aren’t cause for hatred and discrimination, that it’s a tool and agenda for the capitalist class to maintain power while they give you someone to direct your vitriol at instead of them. Class consciousness and solidarity always meant the working class uniting under class interests by divesting themselves of all arbitrary social hierarchies they have been socialized with to maintain them divided. The white worker who goes on about anti-LGBTQ+ or thinks racial issues are not important aren’t class conscious, they buy into the arbitrary divisions and are not focusing on the real enemy. They are useful tools for the capitalist state, and have chosen the paradigm of the established order rather than awakening their solidarity with their fellow workers. Anyone who would water down and lessened the need to stand with Trans people against the Draconian polices being implemented by Red States isn’t an ally or showing class solidarity, they’re lapdogs for capital’s interests in fomenting division and white straight supremacy.
