  1. Single payer is just nationalized health insurance. Like it’s not State control of medical centers, procedures, medicine, and medics. It’s public funding of medical treatment. The system with the most government influence is the British NHS. Wherein not only is health insurance nationalized, but medical institutions are as well. Government officials run the hospitals and medics are approved by government. And yet they rank highest. The US doesn’t need to go into that kind of system, but single payer would benefit all Americans. It is far better (and humane) than corporate health insurance. Even as someone who believes there are better alternatives to Medicare 4 All (as a libertarian socialist), I can recognize it would be far better than our current system.
