The basis of the Conjuring film series. Lesser Key is a fascinating book of the occult. The concept of knowledge of names giving power over these spirits, as Adam and Eve named their corporal manifestations. Solomon using the arcane to make demons build his Temple would make for a pretty metal movie

You know what would be an interesting video topic? Mysticism and early socialism’s relation is truly fascinating. In studying society and social relations, processes, and realities thereof the social scientists made associations with mystical phenomena. The psycho-biological dimension of society certainly seems mystic, but I suppose magic is science not yet understood or something. There was interest in Perennialism and mysticism or occult among the early socialist movement which attempted the synthesis of religion and science such as Saint-Simon and Comte’s New Catholicism/Christianity and Religion of Humanity respectively. Saint-Simon and Fourier both really emphasized Newton and his foundational law of attraction. To them, this was implying that there could also be mysterious forces within society. The notion of society being bigger than the sum of its parts comes out of this conception of reality being full of complex and mysterious forces. Magic was a prevalent topic and issue in the early social science movement. A video going into that history would be cool! The influential esotericist Éliphas Lévi was a disciple of the socialist Charles Fourier!
