If they hadn't discovered her by accident, she would have continued to do so every year since the two of them had no intention of using contraception. I know a lady who had an abortion nine times (before the morning-after pill) because she would rather have an abortion than use contraceptives of any kind. It is not at all excluded that she has done it other times and she has managed to make the bodies of her children disappear.

While any homicide can be traced to some degree of mental illness (what sane person commits homicide?), this woman had no depression at all and for this reason the charge was escalated from infanticide to homicide. The woman planned the murder of the first child because she already had three and she didn't want to bear the expense and effort of a fourth child. Since she was not discovered, she did the same thing with her fifth child the next year. The reason is purely economic and selfish. Depression is not an instantaneous disease that strikes a woman two hours after giving birth, but it is a long-lasting disease.

@charzemc It's pretty clear that you're on the killer's side because you're mentally disturbed and you think you two are sisters. In reality only you are disturbed while she was lucid enough to plan the murder of her son for two consecutive years. Threatening a little girl, insulting and mocking her is very clear evidence of the violence you cultivate in your mind. It is understandable that you have personal experience of a very dark place where you still live, for being such a horrible person.

Maybe she too killed her son, that's why he defends her. Don't let anyone insult you. When you find people attacking you so openly you should report and block them to make your browsing a safe place.
