By the metrics you listed, you ask how it could be that russia is not winning or that it's some kind of inevitability for russia to win. My answer would be to look at the soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Even though the Soviet union had superior numbers and firepower, they were still defeated. It may be as you say, but Ukraine has been performing very very well against an aggressor 5 times their size and at least 20 times as armed. And russia is suffering dearly. Time will tell, but I think Ukraine will prevail.

@esquiredan2702 And russia has made themselves a pariah state like North Korea and Iran. It will be decades before they can manage some kind of recovery. The empire is likely to collapse. If they squeak out some hollow win here in Ukraine, and then collapse in a year or two, then that's just a delayed Ukrainian win.
