  1. Been awhile since I've heard such fever dreams like this. The United States has the fastest growing economy among the advanced countries, and is continuing to grow even though much of the world - especially China - is tipping into recession. BRICS (the term being coined by a Western economist by the way) is nowhere near to coming up with an alternative currency, both the Yuan and the Ruble are nonconvertible with no plans whatsoever of changing that due to justified fears of capital flight. Russia is bogged down in a raging conflict with no end in sight and China is facing a serious downturn on multiple fronts. And don't get me started on the state of the economy of South Africa. Nope, definitely won't be quitting my day job over BRICS anytime soon.
