I would expect there to be a type of credit, where parents could put down $20 or so and then you could watch 2000 videos before you have to recharge.

I'd go for a premium service that abolishes ads and costs a cent per view, though admittedly this raises problems for younger viewers without credit cards. Maybe schools could purchase licenses for all their students for access to ad-free edu (and other non-offensive) content.

By my estimation, a cent per view is actually 5x what YouTube makes from advertising, and they split it with creators, so it would actually work out 5x better for all of us.
