  1. c a i think a problem is that you can't get all those things out of an interview. especially the "don't give me what i asked but what i wanted part" same goes for the design and customer interaction. you seem to forget that there is low time and high pressure in an interview setting. it's also strange that you claim a significant 50% portion is tech skill but the code or portfolio has never played a role. i'm used to seeing these inconsistencies with interviewers. i'm sure this works well to quickly screen out obvious cases, but i'm not convinced that you can read all these things, having been interviewed plenty of times. the interviewer can fail too

  3. i've had personal projects and a degree to show, but even then it really depends on who you run into during a job interview. a lot of times they may not even notice your projects (like they didn't read your resume) and they have this idea in their head that you don't know how to code, which you can't talk them out of. or they don't think you're social enough. there is always something to nitpick
