you presented pro NFT side very well, but not so much the criticism. my problem with NFTs, is that you don't need to participate in blockchain technology, for interacting with the ideas behind art. blockchain does not change, that a screenshot can actually capture the idea behind a piece of art. also ownership (and even intellectual rights which an NFT does not cover), does not have anything to do with the ideas behind an art piece. this is contrary to crypto currency, where blockchain technology actually serves the purpose of preventing the duplication of money (a.k.a. Double Spending). to me NFTs seem like something hyped by those that don't understand these concepts or are just using it for speculation. the fact that NFTs don't really server any purpose makes it feel like the hype could collapse any moment. like a game of musical chairs. all you really have to do is ask yourself, is whether ownership is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about art

that sounds nice and all, but i don't see what that means practically speaking. you can't force people to live in the same place

@daxworthy i think this technology would probably feel less wrong as it matures and becomes more realistic. but i admit that i mostly do rather well without the physical presence of others (as i've learned in recent years), so i have some bias
