@frenchmarty7446 the confusion came from the fact, that you are happy that something is available, which you don't want to use anyway. which is strange. this only makes sense if it's a joke or out of spite. that's why i didn't interpret it that way initially

@xX_Lol6_Xx the other interpretation is that he is able to choose whether he uses Microsoft Defender, because he's on Linux instead of being on Windows. it was not straightforward for me that the availability of something that he didn't want to use anyway, would make him happy. that is why i did not assume that interpretation initially

Rick -phyrtiv didn't misread anything. he explained that French Marty made a claim about Microsoft Defender that is not correct. maybe if everyone here put aside their Linux fanboyism for a moment, then it would be clear
