  1.  @GreyDeathVaccine  it's a meme based on TheDailyWtf article "The Inner JSON Effect" the DSL was called JDSL created by Tom. it could basically call specific versions of functions in version control by downloading and executing this code. a really bad idea obviously. an intern added a comment to the code in version control, which caused the system to go down. Tom blamed the intern for this, and then the intern got fired.

  2. i think you handled that final situation well. i hope you worked less the next day or so to compensate for those hours at night. it sounds like there was a communication problem somewhere in your story, that led up to you being in that situation. not necessarily caused by you. i say that because nothing seemed to happen to the deadline, after you did not receive the necessary information

  4. yeah i don't find that ideal for myself either. the person that coded it, is ideally not involved in testing

  5. i'm guessing you don't have people dedicated to testing or QA? those typically write the test plan before coding begins

  6.  @artolaganus  yeah all the built-in support is quite good in C#. not perfect (conversions between DateTimeOffset and DateTime for example), but still good
