  1. i've never been asked that. i have heard higher ups referring to the company as a family. talk about being family is not always a bad sign. if it's sincere, then it keeps them in check. but i've always found it misguided either way

  2. i'm guessing that staying with the company will also result in less pay raises, since their opinion is that you already enjoyed plenty of pay raises with them
