I'd show you but I already lost my license.

What's the point of DAC till we eliminate emissions? It uses more energy to put that carbon back then it took to throw it out and right now more carbon is being used to do it... Isn't that just using a fire hose to hold back a flood when you don't have water to drink?

How are universes created? Make one with different physical constants?

There was a book I read called evolution...

I better reply now before a real long commercial interrupts . Oh sorry, thought you said 1986

Fun fact our son's spectrum peaks in the green but it doesn't look green because of the way it mixes with all the other colors. We see our sun as a neutral white because it's the spectrum that matches our star.! A race that grows up around the star with a different spectrum would see different colors.

I don't think life on Earth would have been possible to last as long as it did without our moon. With the knowledge that having or being a large Moon can help maintain planetary scale magnetic fields and stabilize rotation and seasons etc, cataloging the systems with such objects is important for subsequent research, picking for targets looking for techno signatures etc

I believe the universe is the inside of a black hole, not just because of it's mass/size , but because of many of the reasons given why it can't be true!

A multi-generational ice ship with methods of propulsion that combine most of the above principles.

Have you looked? By that, I mean any star that deviates significantly from the standard black body curve. Like what happens when the Parker solar probe's orbit decays and vaporizes in the photosphere? Will there be a detectable signature in the spectrum of the sun because of the more uncommon elements it's made of? If humans wanted to make the sun appear green, how much copper and boron would we have to throw at it? Some alien may perceive our sun as green already because it's pretty close to it already and there will likely be overlaps much like how humans han have much ambiguity around yellow. Finding Heavy element spectral signatures in a star that shift it far away from the standard blackbody curve would be most epic if you asked me.

Fun thought, if any alien is looking for a green star and get hit by the copper lasers from a pink Floyd concert in 1994 and decide it's modulation to hear the division bell, imagine our first contact being a pink Floyd concert!

I've been saying all these arguments for decades! Glad to see you agree! Just one thing though,Whats obliquity?

@CoolWorldsLab so just "tilt", never heard it called anything else before actually .

Will the James Webb still be able to look at it?

@Doomclown why would any FTL device "behave" why would it reflect over the null line the same for a STL ship the same as a stationary one? BUT Now use the instantaneous transmission example, and take into account that everything is moving, the instantaneous line becomes a constant to measure the speed of everything else by.. nothing is generally relative anymore, it becomes relative to that instantaneous line speed. BUT, Another brain scratcher is that everything is instantaneous from the point of view of the speed of light, so doesn't that mean that is the instantaneous line? Hence the limit anyway? Where does my logic break? Or does it?

Congratulations!! A related question, if you had access to your own telescope, custom designed just for your purpose how different from jwst would it be?

Are there any observations of Beetlegauce on the calendar?
