  1. Well I didn't know Kindles were based on Android! Can you run any kind of chroot or Proot environment like androix or userland apps to run a Debian system? Do you know if rooting them is easier/ harder, safer or less safe than an Android phone?

  2. do you program them from scratch? Or at least understand their disassembly enough to edit them? I would love to do something with that nasty printer firmware that keeps locking what kind of ink cartridges you can work with... A lot of people would love that kind of rom update!!!!! Otherwise I want to know if this goes anywhere with the kindle, I got an old Kindle kicking around somewhere my saved for parts collection!
