  1. False, Japan is not ruled by the US, they could break ties whenever they want to, it would take time to remove all troops but it is in their power, though that would mean they would need to increase military spending by 3-5 times to have the same defensive force.

  2. Russia took territory from Japan and fought them in 1945...they did invadae their islands...USA dealt with the rulers of the land of the rising sun...they where at war for 4 years...then they became subjects for a few years, then allies.
