@007kingifrit No, they trusted the doctors, and they did their best. Nothing morally wrong here, just that it is harder to diagnose people with multiple issues like the one in the video.

@007kingifrit Genders are a social construct yes, but it is inherent to humans, and they can experience gender dysforia, which is documented and established in science. So no, it is not common sense. A 13-yearold can have heart surgery, brain surgery, amputate limbs, or whatever, as long as it is with the purpose of living a better life long term. Which sex change is.

Moral of the story, if the child seems unsure and doesn't seem to have gotten the full picture, get more counselling. Teens and kids should still be able to get treatment for gender dysforia...

It's not a culture, it's always been there! Just been surpressed and not shown publicly cause of all the stigma, harassment and hate. Just like how people thought after they allowed people who where lefthanded to be lefthanded that it was "spreading", no, it's not spreading, it's just being shown for the first time in Western cultures openly in over 2000 years.

@pyrokatarina I said a woman having a fetus in her womb is sheltering and feeding the fetus inside of her body...that is not the same as a house...a house doesn't have biological tissue that can feed fetuses, it isn't even alive or let alone conscious... A woman has the right to choose over her own body...

Horrific? That would be a president for all doctors being sued for amputations due to medical needs...even when they followed protocolls...this is due to bad counselling and her own missjudgement. It happens in 1-2% of cases, we cannot make it zero without making it take far too long so kids who are entering puberty cannot stop the permanent changes that happens if they cannot get hormone blockers.

@ImThePronounPolice Yes, but only partially. It harder for persons on the autism spectrum to judge what is what sometimes. And she should have gotten more counselling. It's just breasts, it would be another story if it was full genital gender affirming surgery. No, the study of over 7000 cases still holds true. You are hearing more about it because media who benefits from it look with searchlights for any single case of it desperately to get clicks. Why should they loose their license when they all signed consent forms? If she should sue anyone it's her own parents...

@ImThePronounPolice Balls are needed for reproduction, a baby can survive without breastmilk, it is not the same. Breasts are a big characteristic of a woman, but not as important as the gentials. How is doing a surgery the patient wants (In this case both the patient and their parents) doing harm? It's not, and if the type of surgery only has a 1-2% regret rate, it's totally fine. Liberals are not pushing it, they are allowing it. Though conservatives are trying to outlaw it, which is way worse. Let people be who they are, it's better for all of us. No, it's not as easy to change ones gender as changing your hairstyle, it takes years and years of counselling, doctors visits etc. Like she said in the video. And people are not encuraged to change their gender, they are encuraged to be who they are. No one is telling them what gender to be in the LGBTQI+ sphere, it's conservatives who wanna tell everyone what gender they are. There will be maybe 1000-5000 who regret it in the whole of USA, but that includes ALL people, not only children, so I would be surprised if we see more than a couple of hundres who regret it, as gender dysphoria is still rare, and it cannot be "spread" as you might claim it does, it is something you are born with, not something you become.

@007kingifrit There is, and it is an accepted science, just like any other medical field. Oh, so just because I am defending others rights, does that mean I am one in need of that right? And why are you calling them groomers? Priests and pastors are the most prevelant groomers in the world, they if any should be called that.

@007kingifrit It is science, if you are saying otherwise you do not know what science is. It is accepted by scientists, but not by faar right activists like you. So you are saying that 6% of every adult have molested a child? That is not right, if it is that high in the US you are doing bad... You haven't done any research, what you did was type into google, you didn't check your sources and cannot interpret them

@007kingifrit From sources I found it is actually 16.4%, that is shockingly high. In Europe it is about 9% on avarage, maybe it is because America is so christian? Lots and lots of pastors and priests handling children. Science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained. It is not limited to things you can feel or see, just like maths, physics and chemistry, lot's of it you cannot directly observe. So you are not any gender then? Are you just a human? In america you are allowed to beat your children and they have no proper authority that saves children from molesting parents, sad that it is so bad there.

Not when you perform careful surgery for bettering someones life. If she wants to (in the sense of the teen agreeing to it, parents and doctors too). Do I have to spell everything out for you?
