  6. Depends, if you properly tune a high revving engine the power band won't suffer! A lot of V6 engines with turbos get good torque as low as 1500 RPM!

  14. Roots *spits*, those have less than 55% compressor efficiensy. Screws rob less power and heats the air less. This would probably make 900 HP with a screw.

  24. Most often if you start with faulty simple analogies you start refusing to ditch them later on and try to convinces yourself that they are true! Start with the physics and build on top of that!   28. Yes, but this is about the theory, in practice most EVs will take care of it for you, just like the ECU of an ICE vehicle will take care of many things for you (Cold start settings, choke, ignition timing advance/retardation, fuel/air mixture etc.)

  35. If you did that, you might as well put it straight to the engine and gain all of it, but then you would need a 100 bar hydrogen rated compressor...those are not cheap my guy, not at those flow rates and duty cycle with that need for long operation.

  45. Nope, if built to spec it will last as long, there are better and worse injectors of every injection pressure! Besides, injectors have always failed before the engine, ask any semi-trucker.

  47. Petrolium is also mined, they need cobalt for refining it to gasoline, diesel etc. and there is no recycling of CO2. Lithium, cobalt and manganese is plentiful on earth, it just takes time for mines to get investers and open.

  50. If the arm starts to move you are using the potential energy of the 100g weights to push the arm down, but as arm turns the weight will push less and less in the direction you want the arm to turn.
