No, cause you have a torque multiplier, a gearbox, clutch, hydraulic coupling and so on...

@geekswithfeet9137 It takes a few minutes to do so, so instantly is a stretch, there is plenty of time for pedestrians to inhale it and react with their lung tissue.

Which is how ABS works...ABS releases brake force to make the brakes work better in hard breaking wet and or icy conditions. He never stated that ABS gives the best stopping distance, just that it indicates you have enough stopping power to overcome the point of maximum brake force and into lockup. Sure, but that is a whole other topic, then you should argue for upgrading your brake system to give better feel, which you totally can do with stock rotors and new calipers instead.

@goober13579 I try to make them understand, wether they understand or not is on them, all I can do is share what I know.

The people in your area will thank you, they don't want to live healthy or that long anyways. Cheers.

You could take a leaf out of EUs book and make a federal standard of emissions through the EPA...and forbid states making own laws unless they are stricter than Federal regulations.

@joegreen4089 Small correction, higher intake air density makes everything better. Having 20 psi of boost at 120 celsius versus 35 celsius is a huge difference.

Well, braking the vehicle is different from braking the rotor/wheel...sure you can have all the brake force at the rotor you want, but if your wheels are limiting...you have not increased the brake force acting on your vehicle, you just made it easier to lock your brakes.

false, you want to pull a heavy think out of a ditch? You need a good transmission, vehicle weight and good tires, how quickly is determined by how much power you have.

If there is literal excrements in your exhaust, you have more problems than a little exhaust recirculation. Keeping our air clean is also a priority, NOx, particulates, unburned fuel is all linked to shortened life span, reduced life quality! Stop gassing people around you, thank you...

Same thing, if you race or drive downhill often, sure, otherwise it is a waste of money unless you really really appreciate the aestethics. If the pedal/lever feels bad, inspect your brakes and replace worn part. If it still feels bad, have a professional mechanic look at it and fix it. Then you can consider getting a better caliper and or larger rotors.

Yupp, regulation on manditory requirements of parts needing regular service is LOOONG past when it was needed originally, but hey, congress and the senate is packed with billionairs and millionairs all getting LEGAL bribes from the industry to keep such things from passing...they want people to consume, not service their stuffs...let alone repair them! gasp

There is, it is called better airflow, higher engine speed and increasing air density in the intake manifold.
1
No, that depends on the wheel size, vehicle weight, gear ratio and so on. You are boiling it down too much.
1
Are you talking about Nitrous Oxide or Carbon Monoxide? Because neither will spontaniously pick up and oxygen without a catalyst, and Nitrous will actually loose an oxide when borken down into a more stable form.

Ofc, we should all value the life and feelings of engines above the health and longevity of our neighbors, loved ones and relatives. What has a little lung damage and shortened life time and quality done to anyone?

So do you have any proof from an emissions test? Or are you just claiming it produces less emissions? Most "tuned" engines create a ton more emissions, and they rarely if at all test the emissions. The US should do as the EU and demand emissions testing every year for vehicles older than 10 years, and every second year for all others... As EVs become more popular and present on the roads people will surely notice the stinky, harsh air from all the ICE cars, hope they start doing road side random tests for emissions with trailer testers, finally giving hefty fines to people driving cars that reek of NOx and unburned fuel.

Say that to all the ones that are barely 10 years old with 200k+. Electronics fail less often than mechanical components these days, and plastics have come a long way since bakelite and unreinforced Nylon or ABS. We now have strong glass fiber reinforced Nylon and ASA, they won't break down due to UV or Ozone, and are very strong and rigid. Think you think you know more than you do, please be careful.

To a point, softer tyre compound matters the most unless you have a heavy SUV or Pickup with small tyres. But running those on a street car makes wallets cry

Durn governmint better tell my neighbor to stop gassing us with is darn engine, better tell him he don't ever remove no ANTI-Gassing device out of his there engine. Or we have to take him out back, you know what I'm saying?
