IKR? Didn’t Putin win the election by 200% last time? If he was telling the truth, he wouldn’t ban the news! Shut down TV stations! Shut down radio stations! Shut down news papers! Shut down Facebook! Oh, and MURDER journalists! All I believe is that the mad man threatened us with nukes. Time to get his finger OFF the trigger for good! Only an idiot gives a mad man a second chance to point a loaded weapon at their heads! Does he think we’re THAT dumb? Putin is over! He just doesn’t know it yet. The west cannot deal with him, his lies and his dangerous tendency to reach for the nukes every time he’s upset about something.

The problem with living in a Kleptocracy that is in the middle of locking up your neighbours for protesting and exercising free speech, is that you’re likely to say what you think the bad man wants to hear. You simply cannot trust Russian polls at present. Good, bad or indifferent.

You’re right. It’s why Putin has resorted to shelling cities from a distance. Because Putin has spent 20 years worth of propaganda telling the Russian people that there’s no difference between them and Ukrainians. Now they’re expected to shoot them down in the streets? They haven’t got the heart to fight. They’ve been surrendering in droves, and losing battles too. Putin might well take their cities, but he’ll never keep them. I envy Ukraine their leader. Every free country needs a guy like Zelensky in office, willing to die by your side for the same cause. Imagine your own premier doing that?

@nintendokings : It’s horribly ironic, but that indiscriminate shelling is a direct result of demoralised Russian soldiers being unwilling to shoot down Ukrainians in the street. Too many are surrendering whole units, and remembering their brainwashing from Putin that kept telling them that Ukrainians are basically Russians too. Putin’s own propaganda has backfired. Which is why they might well take Ukraine, but when comes to facing the enemy, Russians will lose.

Putin has spent the last 20 years trying to convince Russians that they’re, “the same people,” as Ukrainians. He’s been telling them Ukraine is part of Russia and encouraging Russians to settle there. So, naturally, having to kill Ukrainians (relatives) is demoralising for them. This video is telling you what Putin’s narrative is, but not what his actual objectives are. He simply intends to STOP Ukraine from ever developing the massive gas and oil reserves they’re sitting on. He wants to remain in control of the world’s energy reserves. Never forget his REAL aims! You can check the progress of Putin’s troops on a map, predicting their next moves! They’re going to the Carpathian Mountains! Where the latest reserves were confirmed, where Putin can’t reach them. Shell, Exxon and BP have a deal with Ukraine to develop those finds. A rival to his fuel hegemony, for a DEMOCRATIC country? He can’t allow that? WE CAN’T ALLOW HIM TO WIN! Not unless you want him to rule the world, like some Bond Villain!?

@mab9614 : The Milgram Experiment (1974, according to Wikipedia) showed that there is a strong tendency for such obedience, and subsequent work by others have shown that this tendency is amplified by group behaviour. But, please remember and take hope? There were exceptions. There is also footage of a blue collar average guy, arguing vehemently with the guy in the lab coat, and refusing to go any further, even though he clearly needed that $20 they offered for completing the test. (They paid him anyway) so we’re not all robots. In fact, you could argue that the whole Second World War was fought to make that point? . . . ✌️

@tomc2681 : I know that experiment. The footage is available on YouTube. Chilling stuff. I would have told you that nowadays, people are more independently minded and less prone to following such commands if we were discussing it 10 years ago. But, now? With the way that the internet has turned discourse into a sewer of hate-speech, disinformation and dark propaganda, and the way people seem only too willing to cling to any excuse to be racist, fearful or sexually deviant, I sometimes wonder if the end times are upon us? . . .

@jim : If you think I got all my information from one YouTube video, then you’re dumber than you sound, son. Did you know that Ukraine produces more than HALF of the ENTIRE WORLD’S supply of Argon? Ask yourself what Argon is used for manufacturing? And then ask yourself what there is another world wide shortage of? As to the gas and oil reserves, we only know that Shell, Exxon and BP were willing to pay Zelensky’s government to develop the sights and where they were found. The Crimea, offshore. Then the Donbas region. Ringin’ any bells yet? Now in the west, where Putin can’t reach. Open up a map, and watch his forces attempting to get to the Carpathian Mountains, son? You can predict their root each day (when they move at all, that is) so stick to what you know. Not what you, “want,” to be true. Just what is. I’m not saying it’s a good or bad thing. All I’m saying is the west has never given up control over, “energy security,” since it became a thing. And they’re not making an exception for Putin. The sooner he gets that into his greedy Bond Villain head, the better off we’ll all be. Wake up!
