  1. We’re not doing nearly enough! Putin hoarded enough gold for Russia’s economy to hold out for a couple of years. That’s why we HAVE TO invest much MORE into defeating Putin. The blood and treasure we invest now will save us a fortune down the line. Finland and Sweden joining NATO will be a real body blow to all of Putin’s rhetoric at home, but we HAVE TO get Germany to lead the way and cut off ALL energy supplies from Russia, and rally Europe and America into an energy pact of assured mutual support. Western Europeans are still funding the very war we want to stop! The Ruble was bound to bounce back, due to internal demand, and we simply don’t have the time to grind down Russia’s economy over years! Ukraine needs a full navy and airforce to support its heavy infantry in attacking Russia on all fronts, while Europe STOPS giving Putin at least a billion a week to kill, rape, torture and murder more Ukrainians en masse and individually! It’s the very LEAST we owe them! And it’s our best hope for a lasting peace. Two thirds of the world’s grain imports, 50% of the elements vital for microchip technology (anyone who tried to buy a PlayStation 5 knows there’s a worldwide shortage of microchips) and Shell, Exxon and BP spent billions on the rights to develop the massive oil and gas reserves in Ukraine, which they say rivals that of Russia itself! So the implications for world security are incalculable! Imagine if Putin succeeded in taking all of Ukraine and controlled more of the world’s energy reserves than any other individual? Combined with their ally, China, taking control of ALL technology manufacturing between them! Taiwan manufactured two thirds of the world’s microchips out of ONE SINGLE FACTORY! When Covid forced them to close temporarily, that’s when the microchip shortage effected the entire planet. So imagine China owning Taiwan and Putin having control of most of the elements used in their manufacture between them? It would be the end for the west. And there’s the simple matter of morality and human cost, underlining all of this. Ukraine has sacrificed too much for all of us, fighting on our front lines. Putin wants Germany, the economic power house of Europe, and will impose the old East German borders at the very least if we let him. It all comes down to CRUSHING his forces in Ukraine, NOW! We’re not doing nearly enough.
