  1. Yes! It was SUICIDALLY STUPID to even START buying fossil fuels from a hostile anti-democratic country that has been bent on revenge for losing the first Cold War ever since Putin came to power! How MANY of our politicians have been BOUGHT!? How many in Germany??? Imagine FDR buying his battleships from Japan and his tanks from Hitler during WWII??? Sounds insane? We have to get Russia OUT of its embedded position and get busy moving into the hydrogen age anyway, before the planet dies! So this is the perfect impetus and we should bite the bullet! Putin is mad! He needs to be shut down and his people are close to overthrowing him anyway! Let’s give them the reasons they need and sanction them into the STONE AGE!

  2.  @Kim_Jong_Un-----353  : Never going to happen. Cowards and gangsters can always be counted on to protect their own self interest, so Putin is NOT going to cut his own throat. Even if he has a terminal diagnosis, his other greedy oligarchs in his cabinet don’t want to die and they would have a palace coup. Time for people to stop knee jerking to their FEAR and stand up for truth, right and justice for a change.

Russian oligarchs have gotten embedded in German, British, French, American, and many other country’s politics through bribes, money laundering and good old fashioned blackmail. It’s time we locked the Putin machine out of the west and let the Russian people overthrow their dictatorship, which they almost did last year. I’m willing to take the pain, as I imagine most thinking westerners are. And we can always take comfort from the fact that our top politicians will actually have to sacrifice their kickbacks for a change! Why TF we ever ALLOWED Russia to become a major fossil fuel supplier to half of the free world is unfathomable, unless we accept the hard fact that Russia’s policy of BUYING our politicians at every level has been paying off. Time we demand an END to their shit!
