It’s NOT so hard as, “proving a negative.” They CAN open up their shares to public ownership; they CAN show just WHO owns the existing shares; they CAN show what security measures they undertake; they CAN provide written, detailed accounts of how their tech works and who has access and what supervision they undertake, etc, etc. BUT THEY DON’T. The west is RIGHT to be suspicious because it’s such a closed shop at the top, shrouding itself in an inappropriate level of secrecy. They should be banned if they are not willing to open up to the west, at least to the same extent that they’re open to making money from western users. If we had western shareholders and knowledge of how things work there, this wouldn’t be an issue. So, this really isn’t about proving a negative. It’s about being open. And that is NOT an unreasonable thing to demand from a company with such influence in the west, that is based in COMMUNIST China, who still has the downfall of capitalism among its STATED aims in the CCP Manifesto.
