  1. This has been one of the most disheartening and depressing stories I have ever heard. Made worse by the fact that it never concludes. I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak and sheer agony of her immediate family. When a story is about cruelty to defenceless children, it always nosedives my heart. But, when you cannot know whether it would be better for Madeline to be dead or alive at this stage, it messes with my psyche to an extent that alters my whole mood for the day. How anyone can hear these details and not be affected by it is beyond me.
