I consider myself a patriot, even proud of many aspects of our history. I see nuance where many refuse to, from the genuine positives and the appalling negatives of Empire. I see negatives in, as well as the essential need for, the rule of law for all Britains. But I genuinely cannot find any single positive to say about this last 12 or 13 years of Tory government. They are a security threat, a radical extremist organisation, which is really more of a business coalition masquerading as a political party, literally destroying or undermining all of our institutions and historical markers that once made us, “British.”

@scottyfive4319 : Not suggesting it is. Just agreeing with Armando, that there can be a more nuanced view that need not be self contradictory or false. A person without a country is no great thing to be.
