@Trebor74 : Completely WRONG. Not to this government.
“Austerity,” is supposed to mean living below your means, “austerely.” In fact, what it means in real terms, to a Tory government, is the majority living on, “means,” that are below their ability to sustain a basic, decent living standard, annually resulting in multiple, (CHEAPLY AND EASILY) PREVENTABLE DEATHS across the UK; while the people in power (including friends and families) live far beyond their means, on the money earned by those very poor people whom they routinely rob, or just make poorer by betting against their currency so they can further enrich themselves when the Pound takes a nosedive due to lunatic Neo-Liberal, “policies.”
It is unsustainable as a matter of policy, immoral as a matter of ethics and unconscionable to those among us who retain souls.
And, because the Tories know they have already lost the election, they are looting the country to ensure they can squeeze as much as possible before the teet runs dry, whilst paying the most expensive lawyers in Britain to cover their tracks and ensure they remain unaccountable when the inevitable government enquiries find widespread, “Waste, Incompetence and Corruption,” for example, which, by this government’s OWN FIGURES cost us £26 BILLION POUNDS over the last two years alone! A record in both inflation adjusted and practical terms.
But the Tories call that, “austerity,” so that’s alright then?
