John Laccohee-Joslin : When Queen Matilda and King Stephen reached a stalemate, in the 1100’s, they made a deal. Stephen would keep the throne, so long as Maud’s son, Henry, would be his heir. Thus began the Plantagenet Royal Family: a, “settlement,” between those who had the POWER. There is no such THING as a, “legitimate,” Royal Family, in that sense, at least. But, Conspiracy Theories are fun, I guess. If you like that sort of thing? . . .
