Given the stakes, I don’t blame him. This must be after all the paper work has been signed, the Covid training completed, and people have been warned, time and again. He knows an on sight inspection could happen without notice. I would lose it over one employee, let alone an entire movie’s worth. And ask yourself? In 30 years, has he ever made a bad movie? He knows what he’s doing, and sometimes, it’s necessary to treat the children like children. For some people, nothing else works. Good for Tom

@Whitneypyant : I can see why we’re so divided as a planet, when I see people assuming, “It doesn’t effect me, so screw everyone else.” They assume others must think that way, and can’t comprehend why Tom Cruise might feel some responsibility to his staff. It’s a sickness, raging through society, every bit as dangerous as Covid 👍

@davemattia : Given that Tom Cruise movies never fail to be hits, that hardly applies here. Whatever you think of him, he doesn’t make bad movies, so maybe you should rethink that?

@SUGAR_XYLER : Ouch. Ageism, is not cool. If he ever made a bad movie in the last God knows how long, I would lol. But, he is relevant. And he’s trying to rescue an industry, and to show it can be done, for others to follow where he leads. Look at the new POTUS? The oldest guy to be one, and also the most popular in US history. Age happens to all of us, if we’re lucky. Will you be as fit, handsome and successful, when you get to his age? No need to answer that, is there?

@tammielee3476 : Richard needs to score points, to the cost of THE, “point,” perhaps? You make the right point. Tom is at the top of his game, always, and expects that of others. I’m totally with him on this anyway. It won’t have been out of nowhere. It will have been after many previous warnings.
