  1. Peace can only prevail if YOU take responsibility for that. I mean all of us, of course. But it’s worth remembering that the nation that subscribed to a deal with their government, by which they got the freedom to do what they liked with their lives, just so long as they never complained about prices, the markets and especially never complained about their politicians, is the same country that is now bogged down in an unwinnable war, facing economic chaos, draconian policing and its best fighters and strongest young men are fleeing the country in their literal millions. That’s what political absenteeism buys you. The government will ALWAYS betray their people in such a system. How engaged are you? If you haven’t written to your representatives lately, then I would say, not enough. Speaking as a Christian believer myself, prayers alone are just not going to cut it. We ALL have a dog in this fight. Look at your next energy bill if you don’t believe me. So, as you’re already funding a war, you should take responsibility for it.

  2. Write to your representatives and tell them that. You have that privilege. Russia has a social contract which says, “The people can do what they like without interference, so long as they never get political or criticise Putin’s dictatorship.” Well, look how that’s worked out for them? Political Absenteeism created a moral vacuum in Russia’s entire population, making them so useless that they don’t even have the wit or balls to fill the streets of Moscow and bring Putin down, like the Ukrainians did with their Puppet Putin over a decade ago. The difference is stark, isn’t it? The same people whom Putin is so afraid of that he daren’t even close down his borders and force them to stay for conscription, are the very people who are fleeing Russia by the literal MILLIONS! Just think about what price you pay for being morally absent from politics? It’s turned a whole population into cowards who run at the first sign of danger, bomb innocent people from a hundred miles away. They loot, pillage, rape, torture and murder the defenceless and now those very people who should be filling the streets of Moscow to bring down their, “government,” are running away, all of a sudden, “anti-Putin’s-war,” when all we heard coming out of Russia was cheering until conscription and press gangs began! Dear GOD! We don’t want people like THAT pouring into Western Europe by the thousands! Morally vacant cowards with no moral compass or spines!

Being politically simple is among them, as well as political absenteeism, which hasn’t worked out too well for the hundreds of thousands of Russians who are currently fleeing their country to avoid the draft. Ask yourself: why hasn’t Putin sealed his borders?

  5.  @franklinnanai2745  : Putin cares about himself sufficiently to never pull the nuclear trigger unless he’s convinced that he has exhausted absolutely every other option first. And when it gets to that point, he probably won’t have the power to make that call any more. Cowards die like cowards die, in a cowardly and unedifying manner. That is Putin’s fate, coming to a news broadcast near you, within the next five years.

  6. Anyone who thinks this war is only about Ukraine has not been paying attention. This is World War Three, people. At present, Ukraine is just the theatre of war, with Belarus potentially becoming the corridor for Russia’s troops to pass through to open a new front. But we’re all already paying for huge food and energy cost increases and the battle of the board rooms and political offices rages every day. It is on all of us to be engaged and to demand better from our leaders, and to shop judiciously, refusing to buy products from Putin’s collaborators, like Nestlé. It was political absenteeism that got Russians into the mess they’re in right now. Think about that?
