This headline is misleading? Russia has fallen back to regroup. We haven’t seen them, “lose ground,” since they abandoned their hopes for Kyiv, more than a week ago . . . YET! But I pray they do! Let’s see Crimea and Donbas back in Ukrainian hands? THEN we can claim some success.

I write to my representatives regularly, demanding the things Ukraine needs to defeat Putin. Air power, sea power, heavy artillery and tanks are what they need for an offensive. The west has an opportunity to save a fortune in blood and treasure by investing in Ukraine’s TOTAL VICTORY over Putin NOW, rather than allowing them to dig in and prolong the war indefinitely.

And, yeah. “You gotta’ love Elon Musk.” He was genuinely the first guy to make me actually lol, when I thought there was nothing in this whole situation that could, with his challenge of Putin, for single combat. Pretty priceless. 😆 Slightly off topic here, but you might be interested? A long time ago I read a sci fi classic by Arthur C Clarke called Rendezvous With Rama. There’s a character in it that who sounds more like Musk with every passing year. This was back in the days when the idea of private investment into space exploration was considered a novel prediction of risky proportions but it was the way Clarke saw the future unfolding. But, this is why he’s credited as being one of the most accurate futurologists who ever lived, before the term, “futurologist,” was invented. What’s fascinating though, is that Clarke depicts the kind of upbringing, personality quirks and emotional drives that would make an American businessman rich enough, and motivated toward space enough, to be in the position to work alongside government, and he nailed it! He predicted the type of public persona such a man would have, and how the population would react to him. He invented Elon Musk! While Musk was still a schoolboy! I wonder if Musk ever read that book? Anyone who tells you sci fi is a waste of time should read that book. 👍

@mckessa17 : It’s what Ukrainians call the Russian, “soldiers.” See: JRR Tolkien, The Lord Of The Rings. It’s most apt. Except Orcs never rape anyone in those tales. Making Putin’s Red Army of Yellow Bastards not quite as respectable as, “real,” Orcs. Does that answer your question?
