  1. You talked about Edward Teller, and I’m curious about this man, since I read the book (American Prometheus) and watched the movie, Oppenheimer. Teller hated the communists and wanted to build the H Bomb, before the Russians. But he seemed to have all the instincts of a Stalinist, fought his opponents like a Stalinist, betrayed friends and colleagues as easily as a Stalinist and was riddled with the paranoia and cruelty of a Stalinist. We can only be thankful that he wasn’t more influential than he was among HUAC or other scientists of his time. But, I would love to know more about what makes such a smart man so politically naive and continually dangerous? There have always been men like him around, and the world needs to be on its guard against that dangerous combination of misguided political fury and actual scientific chops. People like Lysenko (pseudo scientists with power) are ten a penny, but the Edward Teller’s of the world have the potential to do so much more harm, potentially world destroying harm, because they know their science and have such perverted political drives. Please do a video on this topic? Maybe in the new age of AI bots, we need one?
