@CthRage8946 : They have to catch them first. When your country has never known democracy in its entire existence, people are pretty used to fleeing from the state. Every Russian has a couple of address memorised, just in case they wake up one morning and see their own face on a wanted poster. That’s what it’s like when a dictatorship falls. The number of dissenters starts growing bigger than the number of, “enforcers.”

@youren8 : Ukrainians have seen it all before and know what to expect this time. Putin emptied the jails and put violent prisoners in police uniforms when they tossed out his last dictatorship. None of it will work. Putin needs to look for that off ramp, before his oligarchs do it for him.
