Trump is attempting to play the judge. He needs quotes to use against him on the campaign trail. His lawyers know he has nothing to win in the case, but an angry outburst from the judge, the AG or any of the court staff, will be used against them on the campaign trail. trump is not actually taking part in the trial. He’s campaigning from the witness box.
