McConnel’s argument is technically flawed in a way you overlooked. The Senate found that the trial was valid, and voted to continue that trial. Personal opinion doesn’t count. It was found to be a lawful trial. So, if McConnell says that his technicality for letting trump off stands, why did he take part in the trial? He’s saying that one Senatorial decision stands while their other decision is invalid, and choosing personally which is which. The hypocrisy and demonstrable, empirical WRONGNESS of that is PALPABLE!
