You were off the mark with your jabs at the anti-capitalist commentary. The show’s appeal is aimed at its South Korean Audience; a country which daily bemoans the breakdown of family and personal relationships in its tv and media, as a recent phenomena of the last 10 years, and in which personal debt is higher than any other developed country, having doubled in the last 6 years. So, when you say, “Who cares what they think?” You’re saying that about the show’s writers and creators. They care. As do their target audience. You’ve never been so wrong. Rare for you, but it happens. Maybe ease up on the lager? Or drink more of it?
