So, nothing is changing. Repeatedly doing the same thing whilst expecting different results is the definition of madness, isn’t it? Police policies don’t work. And the only thing that needs to change fundamentally is the breaking up of police unions. They are the hotbeds in which police, “culture,” goes unchallenged and indeed encouraged. And they are the place where corrupt cops can count on massive resources to protect them, regardless of right or wrong. Like the old teamster unions of the 50’s through the 70’s they are half mafia, half people who just keep their heads down. And Omertà governs them all. Unless the power base of police unions is broken, there can be no change.
