  1. The world better hope that trump is not elected, and that his subsequent coup attempts fail. There is a massive misunderstanding about how American influence on Ukraine works, especially when it comes to so much as the possibility of, “forcing,” Zelensky to, “negotiate,” with Russia. Ukraine simply will not give in, with or without American support. And the whole of the European Union (with the exception of Hungary) will be more likely to step up their funding and logistical support. We seem to forget that they are not fighting just for Ukrainian land, but for their very survival. They are battling against an attempted genocide. And Appeasement NEVER works, which Zelensky knows. He would not even remain Ukraine’s leader if he did submit to any deal that ceded any Ukrainian territory. They have already sacrificed far too much for that. Trump will fail if he tries to tell Zelensky to cede any territory. Instead, if Ukraine falls, there will be massive migrations of Ukrainians, fleeing a country that never surrendered, or Europe will supply Ukraine with enough, “stuff,” to win. And it would be more likely that other countries would be dragged, directly, into that war. But, no country in Europe (except Hungary) is willing to allow Russia to succeed and trump will be embarrassed by a humiliating failure, “even before I get into the White House.”
