  3. A lot of people are, at grass roots levels, organising boycotts of American goods and services. Some are unavoidable (just look at the social media I’m using right now) but MacDonalds, Starbucks, Coke, Pepsi, etc. may see huge drops in sales. People are even using apps to identify the country of origin of products on the shelves in the supermarkets. Do you think this will be felt in America? Or make any difference to shipping?

Putin thinks he can influence the US election by flying jets through the flight paths of American F fighters and dumping volatile ships like this off the coast of England, hoping to create an, “escalation,” incident, that will cause the cowardly to get all scared and vote for trump. I think he doesn’t realise that a stronger stance against Russia is a vote winner. Voters are exasperated with Putin’s antics. We should put an end to Putin’s brinksmanship and call his bluff. Put him back in his box.

  5. You may not see this as your bailiwick but, do you think these grass roots movements around the world, boycotting American goods and services, will affect shipping? After all, some US services are unavoidable (like Google’s YouTube) whilst MacDonalds, Coke, Pepsi, Heinz, Starbucks, etc. do seem vulnerable to me? I ask after a seeing a news report showing French shoppers using an app to identify the country of origin of products on the shelves of their supermarkets. And I know of people doing the same thing here, in Britain. Thanks for this service, btw. I discovered you through a recommendation from Jake Broe’s channel, of which I am a member.

  6. Has anyone ever invented a cargo shipping submarine? Such a thing would be able to avoid Houthis, Somali pirates, etc and ship goods without even being detected in most cases, wouldn’t it? I presume such an invention would be too expensive and unwieldy for practical use? Or would necessarily have to be too small to be of cost benefit?
