  2. My British household is boycotting American goods in the supermarkets. We have apps to scan products, which instantly tell you the company’s country of origin, or, “who profits.” Some products are easy: Pepsi, Coke, MacDonalds, etc. Others (avocados, etc) are harder to spot. The phone app, “Where From,” makes it no problem at all.

  6.  @velmapalafox0704 : I’m worried about recommending a specific app, since they all collect data. Mine might have hidden downsides. But you’ll easily find a free one in your App Store. I searched the web for a recommendation based on, “country of origin and who profits.” And (very important!) I searched on an independent browser: NOT GOOGLE, which is trained to direct you to their advertisers and make it look like it’s, “unbiased.” My search engine is called, “Pride.” As in lions. Hope that helps.

  7. I’m wondering WHY China hasn’t simply matched US tariff policy? Surely, the wisest course was to announce that China’s tariffs will be set to match US tariffs automatically, therefore America will set the tariffs on itself? 10% to 30% is a significant difference and a clear advantage to America, isn’t it?
