That’s because Rod Serling made it complete. A genuine war hero, and a gritty genius, of the type that Ernest Hemingway played at being. The most underrated genius of literature in American history. I genuinely see him as America’s greatest writer, bar none . . . ✌️👍

As soon as I hear his voice saying, “Submitted for your approval,” I think, “You have it.” Best writer in American history. Massively, criminally underrated. Taken too soon 👍

@Mrcharles. : Indeed, he was known for his chain smoking, so even the knowledge would have been hard to reconcile with the addiction, that far gone. But he would have written about it, for sure. And he would have created something quite brilliant, with takes that had not occurred to us, symbolism for those who wish to look more deeply, and compelling characters to take us on a journey for which we just have to know what happens next. That was his gift.
