@JoannDavi : The GOP couldn’t even save Kevin McCarthy 🤣. Why the hell would anyone else want to? Because it’s up to your enemies to save you from your own folly? Ukraine will get their support from the US either way and you need to think about putting your own corrupted house in order, rather than crying to the grownups for help.

@RovertNosnikgdoh : It wouldn’t hurt to send an email requesting an acknowledgement of the details in your hand written letter. That way it’s harder to, “lose,” any correspondence. The email need only be a line or two. For the record.

@corneliusantonius3108 : How does it work there in The Netherlands? Is it still possible, under your constitution, for the other parties to form a coalition with a clear majority, even though the far right has the largest single party? Because, if that is the case, you’re about to see how much all these other parties really care about your country’s future and how much they’re willing to sacrifice for the sake of the free world remaining free.

@corneliusantonius3108 : Then you have my hopes and prayers. An expression that has been singularly sullied over recent years, by the emptiness of politicians, but mine are sincere. I’ve been to Amsterdam, long ago now, but I loved the culture and people. Such a broad mix, even back then. A place to go for people who just want to be themselves without judgement; or that’s what I took from my teenage experience. But, I also noted how the generations mixed more than I’ve seen in other countries, including my own, Britain. Older and younger people seemed comfortable in each other’s company and didn’t stick within an age group when socialising. I liked that.

@RovertNosnikgdoh : I was thinking of America, primarily there. I can only imagine how many communiques get lost like that in Oz, and wonder about how many people have the gumption to follow up as you did? In the USA, we’ve seen people elected to office try to overturn election results, bury the votes of whole groups of people, stay silent in the face of obvious election corruption and routinely, “lose,” or, “misplace,” information vital to the nation’s security. So, losing a few letters or emails will be par for the course in many cases, which is why I suggested the belt AND braces approach. Hell! One senior Republican politician is an outed con man, facing trial for multiple frauds (and I’m not referring to the former president there, either!) so wherever you can get the receipts, the better in my opinion. Slava Ukraine, my friend.
