  2. You, sir, are the only commentator who seems to feel the same outrage and disgust at the Russian, “armed forces,” as I do. I so love your empathy. But empathy combined with deep knowledge is the most powerful feeling there is. Thank you, Jake. 🇺🇦✌️🇬🇧

In a previous life, I managed a high stress job for many years until I wound up in the mental hospital, so I know how it can suddenly take its toll on you. Jake’s compassion and empathy are palpable, and sometimes I find it hard to watch his obvious suffering. He has military training and experience; and, having been in charge of actual nuclear missiles, I’m certain he would have gone through a rigorous selection process, whereby his level headedness and calm under pressure will have been key factors. But, sifting through suffering, all day, every day, is a different kind of pressure that can result in what I called, “toothache of the soul.” Something you cannot stop, even for a moment, yet calls on you to deal with it urgently, and just gnaws at your very spirit. He has addressed the issue in a Q&A and it sounds to me like he has great coping mechanisms. But I cannot help but worry for him. Especially since he has become a source of such irreplaceable value for so many people out there. But, mostly I just worry for him. His compassion does him credit. His empathy is touching. His sincerity moves me. His knowledge impresses me. He is a treasure, and should guard himself accordingly. But, he’s smart, so I imagine he does . . . I sure hope so.
