@nicholasconder4703 : From what I’m hearing, from better informed military minds than mine, what is happening right now is called, “shaping the battlefield,” which involves taking out certain logistical targets, moving forces into various positions, whilst creating a bunch of false narratives and red herrings for the enemy to chase, and it all seems to be going according to plan? I’m no expert, but it looks like the opening of the offensive is underway, but it just doesn’t look like it to us, as it’s a preparatory series of operations? For all we know, Ukrainian troops could be drinking Russian vodka on a beach in Crimea this time next week? There’s just no way to gauge it, because that’s Ukraine’s intention. ✌️🇺🇦🇬🇧

@groot6830 : The term, “nation building,” is a bit of dirty word these days, due to so many failures in the Muslim nations. But I genuinely believe that Russia would actually be a perfect society in which a nation building program would be highly successful. They don’t have the organisation and technical skills that the Japanese and Germans put to such effective use, post WWII, but they have a population that is every bit as docile and easy to lead, with the infrastructure, institutions and media systems in place to make it a more than viable proposition. As the country begins to collapse inwardly, I suspect that NATO will shift it’s position from, “Ukraine must never enter Russian territory with actual boots on the ground,” to, “Can you get to the Kremlin inside two days and beat the others to it?” Sounds almost crazy when I say it out loud, but it’s actually more plausible than many may think. No one saw the collapse of the Soviet Union coming, because it’s like a star, burning out from the inside, and when the outer layers burn off, there’s nothing left at the core to hold it up. Yet, in this case, we’re seeing government infighting and destabilising influences already; in a country that tries to keep all that chaos on lockdown! I’m not saying, “it will happen that way,” just that the chances of that, or something equally outlandish, seem like real possibilities right now.
