  1. I have been putting the same question to many YouTube commentators and have yet to receive an answer. When you look at how the allies flattened entire cities in Germany during WWII, and add to that that no one seemed to question the logic or morality of doing to Germany what they had done to Britain in the Blitz, it does beg the question. I think, in the end, we all know it’s about nukes. Personally, I would like to see the Ukrainian army punch through the Russian lines, take over their rail infrastructure and invade Moscow. Bombing civilians and power stations are war crimes, obviously, so that sort of thing is off the table. But bombing the Kremlin and military bases and stockpiles would be legitimate, and I would be all for it. Anyone telling you it’s not because of Russia’s nukes is being disingenuous at best, or just doesn’t understand the situation. We only need take a brief glimpse into the history of western powers, especially the US’s, to see what extraordinary lengths they will go to for the sake of resource control, and collateral civilian damage is low on their usual list of priorities, though they’re not generally as wicked as people like to paint them either. It’s a no brainer really. If Russia had no nukes, Putin would be facing a tribunal in The Hague now and Moscow would be under the control of blue hatted troops. But then, if they never had nukes, there never would have been a Cold War, let alone an environment that creates monsters like Putin.

  3.  @quetailion6762  : Indeed, so far America has refused repeated requests from Zelensky for the types of long range missiles that could reach well inside Russia’s borders. Even after offering to hand veto power to the US, regarding targets. Of course, the US can see that once they start vetoing any targets, they will also be seen as tacitly sanctioning all the other targets and handing Putin the excuse he needs to claim that they are now playing an active, direct role in the war, thus lifting all remaining restraints from Putin’s insanity. They don’t want to give him that excuse. Notably, early on in the war, not long after Ukraine rallied their forces and started pushing Russia back, there were several highly successful incursions to areas just inside the Russian border. Ukraine took out massive fuel and weapons caches, sometimes with missiles and once or twice with their own special forces units. We don’t hear about any such activity any longer. And I suspect they have yielded to diplomatic pressures to cease and desist? Maybe it’s up to people like us to keep ramping up the pressure on our representatives, making the raising of the west’s game an election issue? I write regularly to my representatives on the issue of Ukraine, simply because it’s the one issue that effects everything right now. Our fuel and heating costs, world wide inflation skyrocketing and the threat to world peace in general is coming as a direct result of Putin’s actions. I feel we should be granting Ukraine greater independence and freedom of choice for selecting Russian targets. They understand the Russian mindset far better than the west, and they have been masterful at the psychological warfare. They want to wake the Russian population out of their moral absenteeism, and they know they can only do this by making them feel their skin in the game. Of course, this means no war crimes of any kind, but I don’t think Ukraine needs that to be explained to them.
