Billy Connolly used to tell a joke about a guy being mugged on the streets of Glasgow (where the Celtic / Rangers divide still kills people) and the mugger demands to know, “Are you a Catholic or a Protestant?” His victim answers, “I’m Jewish.” To which the mugger asks, “A Catholic Jew or a Protestant Jew?” Don’t allow tribalism to so distort your worldview? Jake is an American first. And keep in mind, if he blindly followed the Republican Party, he would still come out in support of Zelensky’s Ukraine over Putin’s, because the vast majority of the Republican Party does.

You asked Jake, “Are you left or right, politically speaking?” I asked, and ask again, “Does it matter?” Perhaps you could enlighten us as to the, “scope of the question,” so we might all see clearly what you’re getting at? In return, I won’t bore you further with Billy Connolly anecdotes.

If we take the word, “traitor,” out of Jake’s description of MTG, all we’re left with is factual coverage anyway, allowing the protagonists to demonstrate their own hypocrisy, stupidity and doublethink through their own actions. Not that I would remove that word. It’s far too apt. But nobody made Matt Gaetz quote from CCP propaganda in front of Congress and the world? And they call Joe Biden a gaff machine. Nobody made MTG speak out on behalf of Putin? Perhaps this guy is the sort of person who says, “I was happy to discuss finances until you brought money into the conversation,” or, “That’s no lady, that’s my wife!” but means it? 😉✌️🇺🇦

  7.  @hhpoolsandspas2174  : That’s the most transparently disingenuous sentence I’ve ever read in Jake’s comment threads. The only, “politics,” you seem to speak of is Jake’s very accurate description of MTG as a, “traitor,” which she is. Keep in mind, she is betraying the majority of her own party, as well as all of the 20,000 (minimum) western volunteers (including thousands of Americans) fighting for western democracy out there. And she’s calling for, “peace talks,” that neither side wants. Given that ALL war IS political (read your Von Clausewitz) how did siting her betrayal of the American people suddenly cross a line for you? Perhaps it never did and you’re just using word, “politics,” in an attempt persuade a YouTuber not to speak out loud on the most shameful aspects of your own political favourite cum ally? Thankfully, Jake is too smart to be manipulated by such fumbling attempts at passive aggressive double-think, being that he comes from (and has fought for) a western democracy, where it is not the natural state of the human mind to hold self contradictory views in one’s head without addressing them. In the west, we call that, “hypocrisy.”
