  3.  @robderich8533  : Seems so. It’s particularly prickly on serious channels, like this. Certain words are, “verboten,” it seems? I think Google would rather not have to deal with comments at all? Since they bought the platform, they’ve introduced one scheme after another to put people off bothering to comment on, certainly to discuss, topics.

  6. I do not know why YouTube is zapping my comments . . . Again! But, my fourth and final attempt: The Spanish should treat those Russian sailors as POW’s and hand them over to the Ukrainians. The crew have been doing these jobs for Russia for many years and maybe they decided that this was a better outcome than spending an indefinite period in Syria?

Given their destination and the many hazards they faced from all sides, and the indefinite period of time they might be expected to remain in harm’s way? Maybe they took matters into their own hands? Like Russian soldiers have?
