@egalitarian-rex : Indeed, Putin is a dimwit, evident from the distortions of history in his speeches and essays (chillingly similar to the author of Mein Kampf, who’s name I dare not utter for fear of YT’s algorithm zapping my comment) and from his blunder into Ukraine and the series of blunders he’s made since. Like trump, however, he is cunning, which some people mistake for cleverness. Trump gets all his cunning from his advisers and lawyers, whereas Putin’s is all his own. You don’t have to be bright to be crafty. But I genuinely believe that trump’s IQ is in the low 70’s or less. I think Putin’s is around average, but he’s just stupid. I hope I didn’t come off as misreading your comment. Not my intention. I fully agreed with you, to the point that I felt it was worth commenting on.
