  2.  @jacqdanieles  : That is a fair quibble. As Jake points out, some of the headlines about this guy are misleading enough for people to assume that he’s some sort of, “good guy,” simply because he opposes Putin and not the mass murdering coward of a terrorist, on the run from the world’s justice, that he is. It was only a question of time before the far right extremists became a problem for Putin. Wagner was founded by Nazis and is riven with Nazi, “ideology,” among its leadership. And, as we can all see from the mere fact that they continue to openly defy Putin’s direct orders to join the regular army, Putin does not have the extremists under control. He can’t even isolate the one man he really wants to see die painfully, Prigozhin. That guy, “forced,” Putin to flee Moscow for St Petersburg, on a jet, when he HATES flying. The world got to see Putin’s, “I don’t need a ride, I need ammunition,” moment, and saw him panic and run. That’s a humiliation Putin cannot and will never forgive. Prigozhin knows his only hope for survival now is to destroy Putin. And Putin knows his only hope is vice versa, but he has to take out the pieces surrounding Prigozhin first. Which brings us back to the pickle that Girkin finds himself in. He will now be broken down to give up everything, including any, “cells,” or FSB insider contacts and their plans. Putin will be busy trying to survive, getting to everyone around Prigozhin and anyone who protects him, whilst trying to preserve his income from Wagner’s gold and diamond mines dotted about Africa. I suspect Girkin is just one of many pieces that are coming off the board now? He’s right of Adolph Hitler, with an ideology somewhere between Hitler’s and Stalin’s. If he dies in jail, we’ll know that Putin believes he’s making progress.
