@Slavic_Goblin : You realise that’s not how it works, right? Otherwise countries could invade anywhere on the basis that, “My friends don’t recognise you.” Or, you could tell China to apply their own logic (yours) and back off, as Taiwan is not internationally recognised as having anything to do with China’s sovereignty? See how easy it is to put 2 & 2 together and make 5 when the truth isn’t what you’re interested in?

@ItsaRomeThingEverydayallday : I hadn’t thought of it like that, but if the CCP wants to disband and allow Taiwan to occupy the mainland of China, along with Five Eyes, NATO and EU shops, embassies and military bases, then maybe we can talk? 😉

@antimatters6283 : A parade in Russia would certainly be a target for sabotage this year in a manner unseen before, with Russian security stretched pretty thin as it is. Macron seems to have decided he’s not going to win another election and isn’t even bothering to hide his worst impulses from the French, who all seem to hate him due to his pension measures and a growing list of unpopular domestic policies? Now, coming off as a Vichy type seems about his speed.

@MidwestDIY : You can tell how badly a country’s economy is doing by how often they, “revise,” their own history. An unofficial rule of thumb that’s quite effective. And Russia revises something of real significance about its own narrative annually at present.
