@donalkinsella4380 : Why? What I’m curious about there is, why is it my responsibility to make up for the deficiencies in your comprehension skills? Why am I supposed to care about what a troll is told he, “thinks?” I learned, probably before you were born, son, the art of never losing a game is DON’T play. You can’t do your own homework?
When someone walks up out of nowhere and says, “That black object is actually white,” I don’t think, “Ooh, dear me, how am I going to change this person’s mind? How will I sleep nights, knowing this boy is so wrong?” I just think, “There’s a troll. I wonder what went so badly wrong in his life that he decided to abandon logic, critical thinking and decency for a lifestyle based on emotional insecurity and deliberately attempting to, ‘upset,’ people he doesn’t know from the anonymity of his mom’s basement?” It’s s fleeting thought, quickly followed by, “You know what? Actually I really don’t care. Some people take money to saw at the branch they sit on, undermining the very democracy that grants them the right to be a pointless pr*ck. It’s not like he needs punishing or anything. His life is already his punishment enough.” And I get right on with my day. But, since you asked, I hope that answered your question? Have nice day. @samk9729 : That’s a good question. Just how much of the essential economy, such as health, education, security, etc, will the brave new Ukraine, freshly victorious and looking to rebuild a post war country, will be put on a state funded footing. Right after WWII, the work to found the NHS began with the new Labour government in 1945, though it wasn’t introduced until the 1950’s. But, by taking its costs directly from taxation and national insurance, its guaranteed income granted the freedom to make long term plans and investments, which saw it quickly expand its remit. The expression at the time was, “From the cradle to the grave,” meaning, the state would take responsibility for a citizens fundamental needs, from monies taken directly from wages, before the wage earner even received their pay. It worked too. We still pay for the NHS, policing, military security, education, and various other basic services through that same model founded back then, despite the erosion of them by the private sector on various fronts. But, a post war period is the perfect time, granting the most reasonable excuse, for the introduction of new ways of doing things. And it makes state corruption far harder to get away with, because essential services are the responsibility of state, who get to call the shots from the top down across the board. So long as the upper echelons of the state are honest, the underlings really can’t get away with Putin style corruption.
