  1. “Both weaponising and ignored.” With regard to extreme right-wing rhetoric in the press, that’s called, “Normalising,” it. It’s a deliberate and self conscious ploy. Which is why both the Tories and their press get hysterical each time they’re challenged for it, or when we express appropriate disgust or horror at people getting away with saying such hateful or callous things; so the extremists who want to make everything extremist, thus rendering them more control over us, yell, “Culture Wars!” Telling people to speak like adults gets shunted into a red-herring discussion about who controls language, which more truthfully translates into hateful people screaming, “Don’t tell me what to do!” rather than apologise for their juvenile cruelty and manipulation.

  2. They say that because they know they will be able to, “prove,” they grew, “the economy,” when challenged about it down the line. What they won’t admit will be that they only grew the biggest, richest industries, making a tiny percentage of actual employees better off, so they could take all their money out of Britain and stuff it into offshore accounts rather than reinvesting in silly things like wages, insurance, training or safety regulations. 20 people make £50 billion each in three months on the Stock Exchange and the Tories crow as if they’d just won the Battle of Britain, saying, “Look how the economy grew in the last quarter,” whilst wages go down and prices go up for the rest of us. Same ole’ same ole’.
